Jeune mère de la petite Jamie, Hayley est débordée par ses deux emplois, nécessaires pour survenir à leurs besoins. Jerry, son ex-mari alcoolique, lui extorque régulièrement une pension alimentaire. En transportant deux clients un soir, ceux-ci entendent l’ancien couple se dis****r avant de l’inviter à prendre un verre. Melanie, Kevin et Hayley se retrouvent autour d’une table et chacun évoque la personne responsable de ses malheurs. C’est ainsi que Melanie propose un pacte : chacun tue l’ennemi de l’autre. Prenant la proposition pour une blague, la découverte du cadavre de la supérieure de Kevin plonge ce dernier et Hayley dans un cercle infernal.
