Earthquake
Le 7 décembre 1988, à Léninakan, en Arménie soviétique, Robert Melkonyan attend la sortie de prison, après huit ans d'incarcération, de l'homme responsable de la mort de sa famille. Au même moment, Erem, aux idées très arrêtées, rejette sa fille, enceinte de son compagnon qu'elle connait depuis quelques mois. Dans un vol commercial, Konstantin Berezhnoy, un russe, s'apprête à atterrir et à retrouver sa famille. C'est alors qu'une violente secousse sismique frappe la ville, provoquant d'énormes dégâts et causant de nombreuses morts.
